President Buhari Reacts to Release of Chibok Girls

President Muhammadu Buhari has formally reacted to the freedom of 21 Chibok school girls, who have been in captivity in the hands of Boko Haram terrorist group for more than two years now.
Buhari said: “As I depart Abuja for Germany on an official visit, I welcome the release of 21 of our Chibok Girls, following successful negotiations.
“The Department of State Services (DSS) has briefed me on the matter, and will continue to provide updates.
“Cooperation on the security & humanitarian situation in the Northeast will form a significant part of my discussions with Chancellor Merkel,” the President said on his twitter handle Thursday afternoon.
The President leaves for Germany Thursday to hold to talks with the Prime Minister on how to help build North Eastern part of the country devastated by close to seven years of bombing by the Boko Haram terrorist group.
